Texas Motor Speedway's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 was held on Sunday, and after a significant collision, NASCAR Cup Series driver Cody Ware was unhurt.

Ware lost control of his No. 51 on lap 168. Leaving turn 4, the Rick Ware Racing Ford smashed into the outside wall hard, across the track, and smacked into the pit road wall.

After the incident, rescue personnel put Ware on a stretcher. The good news is that they brought him to the infield care centre rather than sending him to the emergency department.

The fact that Ware had been examined and then released after receiving treatment, suggesting that he had not suffered a concussion or any broken bones, was more good news, according to NASCAR.

85 outings in the NASCAR Cup Series have been made by 26-year-old Ware. Last month at Daytona, he came in sixth.

Following the driver's release, Rick Ware Racing released a statement thanking their viewers for their understanding and patience.
