Texas Tech's sixth-year senior QB suffers devastating injury in third straight season
Texas Tech quarterback Tyler Shough sustained a broken left fibula, ending his 2023 season.
Shough suffered the injury in the first quarter of a 20-13 loss to West Virginia.
In four games this season, Shough accumulated 746 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions.
This injury marks the third time in Shough's college career that his season has been disrupted.
In 2021, he suffered a broken collarbone after transferring from Oregon.
Last season, Shough missed some games due to a shoulder injury but was named MVP in the Texas Bowl.
Behren Morton will replace Shough as the starting quarterback for Texas Tech.
